About ChairLab

ChairLab is a catalogue of gaming and office chairs built from store listings. It sets out what each maker claims about a chair, from weight limits to cover materials, and pairs that with a price stamped with the time it was read.

Weight limits and covers, as stated

Maximum load, seat height range, recline angle, armrest adjustments, lumbar support and upholstery (mesh, fabric, PU leather) are copied from the seller's listing and the maker's product page. We do not round a weight rating up or call a cover breathable when the listing does not. A blank means the seller did not say.

If a chair is described as adjusting in more ways than most, that is a count over the chairs listed on ChairLab.

No sitting sessions

We have not sat in, assembled or leaned back in any of these chairs. Comfort, posture and how a cushion wears over months are things only a person with the chair can judge, so this site offers no comfort scores, no ratings and no verdicts.

Prices with their clock

Every chair price is read from the store's listing and shown with the moment it was read. When we can no longer quote a price, the page does not show an earlier one; it asks you to check with the store.

Guides and Explained

Our guides compare chairs on their stated specs and prices. The Explained pages explain terms such as tilt mechanisms or seat depth from what furniture makers and published ergonomics standards say. The front page shows how many chairs we cover.
